07 Oct NOHN Welcomes Two New Physicians
North Olympic Healthcare Network (NOHN) is pleased to welcome Michaela Fallon, MD, and Samone Blunk, MD, to its primary care team. Fallon, who recently completed her family medicine residency at NOHN as part of the Swedish Cherry Hill Rural Training Program, officially joined the organization in August, while Blunk, a Portland, Ore. native and U.S. Army veteran, began seeing patients in mid-September.
Fallon was born and raised in Seattle and obtained her Bachelor of Arts in History at Tufts University in Boston, Mass. She earned her medical degree at Washington State University, where she was a member of the inaugural class and co-founder of the LGBTQIA+ Health interest group.
“I’m excited to continue working with my patients and colleagues at NOHN,” said Fallon. “I appreciate the complexity and intimacy of rural medicine, and I particularly enjoy addiction medicine and LGBTQIA+ healthcare.”
Blunk grew up in Portland, Ore. and received her Bachelor of Science in Biology at Iona University in New Rochelle, N.Y. She earned her medical degree at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Va. and completed her family medicine residency at Womack Army Medical Center in Fort Liberty, N.C. After her residency, Blunk served as a flight surgeon with the 101st Combat Aviation Brigade at Fort Campbell, Ky. and as residency faculty at Madigan Army Medical Center at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash.
“I’m passionate about women’s health, veterans’ health, and trauma-focused care,” said Blunk. “I’m looking forward to collaborating with patients on their health.”
